Best pastrami sandwich this side of Brooklyn! The peorogis were also amazing, served with nicely caramelized grilled onions. Small seating area to dine in. Also home made treats that looked good.
First time here and was completely blown away. The sandwiches are bigger than most the delis in the area for about $4 less. Please check this place out!!!! But don't tell too many people. It's a mostly take out place with a few tables.
I don't know how long Boris's deli has been here, but I'm a fan. My friend recommended it, and I'm glad she did. Walking in, the place is super small. Maybe three tables, total but that's it. We wanted to sit down, but it seems like more of a carryout more than anything else. The menus very thorough with everything from Matzo Ball soup, to chopped liver and latkes as well. While I love all of these dishes, I wanted my traditional fan fare of a hot pastrami on Rye. My friend got the same dish as well, and let me tell you, it's delicious! We split an appetizer of chopped liver and it was really good. Not as good as my grandmas, but very very good.Fresh veggies were served with it, and we ate almost the whole thing. The gal at the counter was patient with us, as we're a tough crowd to take orders from. My friend's from New York, has to have it her way and, well, I am me and just a pain all around. LOL. She did a fabulous job of answering our questions, getting our order right, and all that jazz. I would love to eat here again and next time, I'm doing the Matzo Ball soup!
Found on Yelp while traveling. Reviews were spot on. Nice, family owned business (a regular patron told us as we were waiting on our sandwiches. ) sandwiches were huge! Tasted excellent, very competitively priced. One sandwich could have easily have been shared by 2. Deserts were also tasty, and they had several choices. Highly recommended this shop. Well worth the stop. Small & quaint. All made to order.
As someone who frequents delis in the metro Detroit area, Boris's is my new favorite. The food is excellent with great service. I just ordered a deli tray for a party and it was a big hit. The coleslaw is fantastic, which is important for good sandwiches. The meat was top quality.
